Our profile
Schoeller stands for tradition. Since its founding in 1827 at today’s location in Hellenthal, Schoeller remains a family-owned enterprise. As early as 1550, one of the forefathers, Joris Schoeller, had already purchased shares in royal ironworks in Gemünd.
Schoeller has always stood for innovation. The corporate idea of Schoeller has always been closely linked to innovation. As a pioneer, Schoeller introduced the automatic production of nails and rivets made of wire in mainland Europe in the mid 19th century. Almost 100 years later, in 1959, the plant in Hellenthal initiated tube welding lines for the production of longitudinally welded, non-corroding stainless steel tubes in the so-called Wolfram Inert Gas welding procedure.
The WIG procedure became known in the USA in 1936 and was not introduced in Germany until after World War II. Again Schoeller was one of the pioneers.
In 1965 Schoeller produced WIG welded tubes out of austenitic Cr/Ni steels with a weld seam factor of 1.0. The weld seam was therefore equal to the base metal, and Schoeller, as a pioneer, was again at the forefront of development.
Innovation out of tradition. Today, Schoeller is an established and proficient manufacturer and partner in the business of longitudinally welded stainless steel tubes. Initiative and customer orientation are the guiding - concepts in the development of our plant technology and our product portfolio.
Schoeller – a strong brand. Know-how, competence, experience and with the quality demand of a "non-error philosophy". Always with a confident view of the future, as well as the pooling of all the necessary resources in one location: Hellenthal. This formula for success makes Schoeller a technologically strong brand.
