Raphael Knauff and his team from the mechanical design department are responsible for keeping our machines running and for optimising them technically. When problems occur on the machines, construction know-how and solution expertise are required as time is pressing.
To create prototypes and further technical development as well as to solve technical problems – especially with complex components – the team has recently used its own 3D printer, which is located in the development department. In this way, complex components and geometries can be manufactured cost-effectively and quickly, while avoiding long delivery times.
