Dr. Jens Magenheimer Joins Executive Management as New Chief Sales Officer

Schoeller has appointed Dr. Jens Magenheimer as its new Chief Sales Officer (CSO). Effective June 1, 2026, he joined CEO Alexander Mertens and CTO Michael Gottschalk as a member of the executive management team. Roland Mertens transitions from his previous CSO role into a senior operational sales position.

Schoeller is currently in a phase of targeted international expansion. The company is systematically entering new markets, expanding sales partnerships in strategic growth regions, and consolidating its position as a high-performance partner offering innovative stainless steel tube solutions for the most demanding applications worldwide. The appointment to the CSO position is a deliberate step to advance this development with the necessary leadership strength.

Dr. Jens Magenheimer brings an exceptionally broad international profile to the role. The engineer and MBA holds a doctorate and brings years of executive and board-level leadership experience in technology-intensive industries – including steel, non-ferrous metals, solar, and glass technology. Assignments in Japan, India, China, and the USA, where he built local sales and business structures in each case, have shaped his strong intercultural competence. Most recently, he served as VP Sales and Business Development in the Machine Vision division at Isra Vision, part of the Atlas Copco Group. His doctoral research in business management with a focus on strategic outsourcing and core competencies complements his proven track record as an entrepreneurial executor.

In his new role, Dr. Magenheimer will strengthen Schoeller’s European presence, align sales operations towards proactive market development, and advance international expansion with a focus on North America and Asia. A further priority is the communication of product and manufacturing competence as well as the CO₂ certification of Schoeller products – an increasingly decisive factor in addressing global markets.
