As part of its strategic corporate development, the Schoeller Group has harmonized production standards at its sites – Schoeller Werk in Hellenthal and Schoeller Feinrohr in Neuhaus – while pooling competencies and optimizing processes. Both plants now meet the highest standards with regard to the continuous improvement of system, process, and product quality. Over the past few years, Schoeller has consistently raised quality standards to a uniform level through process improvements and modernization of the machinery.
As one of the leading European manufacturers of longitudinally welded and redrawn stainless steel tubes, Schoeller is now able to offer its customers the complete product portfolio of both sites “from a single source”. At the same time, the individual strengths and specializations of the sites remain in place.
“The sites of the Schoeller Group have historically developed different competencies and manufacturing processes. We have succeeded in combining these strengths, optimizing processes, and consolidating back-office functions. This secures the future viability of our plants and allows us to offer our customers an even stronger overall package,” explains Alexander Mertens, CEO of Schoeller Werk GmbH & Co. KG.
Thanks to the harmonized quality standards, Schoeller has achieved, on the one hand, a larger overlap in its product portfolio. On the other hand, orders can now be flexibly allocated to the individual sites depending on capacity, enabling faster and more efficient delivery to customers. Order processing has also been centralized: a dedicated contact person works with clients to coordinate the optimal solution, while production orders are efficiently distributed within the Group.
“Through the close integration of both sites, we can make optimum use of our production capacities and at the same time respond flexibly to customer requirements. This means shorter delivery times, greater planning reliability, and tailor-made solutions – all with the high Schoeller quality our customers expect,” adds Steffen Wötzel, Site Manager of Schoeller Feinrohr GmbH.
By harmonizing production standards and further strengthening the cooperation between its sites, the Schoeller Group is setting an important milestone in its long-term corporate strategy. The goal is to consistently leverage synergies, further enhance the performance of the entire Group, and continue to be a reliable partner for high-quality stainless steel tube solutions in the future.
